Well, looks like we should have all (or nearly all) our Christmas cards out this year. Though I’m thinking we might keep up the groundhog’s day card tradition.

End of the year at work means raises time. This year I got a big surprise. I was promoted to Senior Software Engineer.

Daisy: [excited] We’ve been given our parts in the nativity play. And I’m the lobster.
Karen: The lobster?
Daisy: Yeah!
Karen: In the nativity play?
Daisy: [beaming] Yeah, first lobster.

Daisy: Duh.
