Well, someone bought me an item off my wishlist. I’d like to thank me/Anne for getting it for me. The item is the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet. It’s a cross between a PDA and a laptop. (Yes, I can even watch my Strong Bad Email on it.) The best part for me is that it runs a customized Linux, so I can run my normal apps on it and do development for it. (This is my Christmas present.) Now I just need a bluetooth GPS, so I can use it as a GPS navigation system.

Now if I could only get the time to do some development for the Nokia 770 outside work. I’ve been going nuts. I’m currently a bit under the gun on one project, while trying to get another project off the ground. I was out in Michigan last week for work which meant driving through Chicago on Wednesday evening at the start of rush hour on the day before Thanksgiving…. poor planning… though better than the airport would’ve been I guess.

Finally, as a starting Christmas present, I’ve ordered Samba De Amigo for the Dreamcast. It’s a rhythm game (like Guitar Hero or Dance Dance Revolution), but you play the maracas to crazy latin music. Your character is this crazy looking monkey wearing a sombrero! It has songs like “Living La Vida Loca”, “Macarena”, and the Reel Big Fish version of “Take On Me”. The biggest kicker though is a latin remix of “Tubthumping”... that’s right Chumbawumba! This is supposed to be the ultimate party game, so we are looking to have a silly game party (probably after Christmas) where we play board games and video games. We are also looking for some good ideas for a “dinner and a movie” party where the meal is related to the movie.
